This mixture has been designed to meet the dietary requirements of the following bird species: Parrots Cockatoos and Macaws.
This popular Avian Specific supplementary mixture has been designed to ensure that optimum palatability levels are achieved by your birds by reflecting their preferred natural food consumption levels. The combination of sixteen wholesome ingredients embodied within the Avian Specific AS310 Hi-Pro Easy Sprout formulation provides parrot-like species with a high protein, nutrient rich supplementary food. The name of this product may 'give you a clue' to its intended use, this is because the mixture has been designed for the sole purpose of soaking and sprouting, although sprouting the product is optional, as this product can be simply soaked over night, soften and fed straight to your birds. If however you decide to sprout the product, the nutrient and protein levels dramatically increase offering your birds' an added boost to their overall daily diet. This can be especially useful during critical breeding periods when youngsters in the nest rely solely upon their parents for all of the food they consume, so providing them with highly nutritional foods is essential. Avian Specific AS310 Hi-Pro Easy Sprout can be mixed used in-conjunction with other Avian Specific supplementary products such as the popular (AS335 - Natures Harvest Tropical Mixture) or the (AS315 Natures Harvest Soaking Mixture) combining a number of different supplementary products together in this way can help to enhance your birds overall food intake on a daily basis by providing additonal essential nutrients and trace elements required for optimal health and overall well-being, not to mention providing a wide verity of enjoyable foods to eat!
How to use: Place the amount of food your birds require into a bowl, add clean water so that the seeds are fully submerged. Soak for 24 hours. After soaking rinses well with clean fresh water and your food is now ready to be offered to your birds. If you wish to sprout this product however, proceed as follows: - after soaking and rinsing has taken place, put the product back into a tub or bowl, cover the bowl over with a damp cloth or face flannel so as to keep the product moist at all times. Then place in a warm place (room temperature) for a further 24 hours until 50% + of the mixture has sprouted, rinse again and it is ready to feed to your birds.
Please note: that it is always best to use a water sanitizing agent whilst soaking seeds or pulses. We can recommend one of two products for this purpose i.e. Gem Sparkle or The Birdcare Company's Aviclens.
